question about the Performance Actions

According with the notes: "You may record and share your performance of the FINAL FANTASY XIV original score excluding the songs entitled “Answers”, “Dragonsong” and “Revolutions” or original songs and/or melodies using the performance actions in accordance with this Agreement. "

It means we cant performance songs from other Square Enix games like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Nier Automata and other Final Fantasy for example?

Any songs outside of the OST, including those from games that SE has published, are not intrinsically licensed to XIV and hence are infringement if produced and distributed utilizing XIV assets. All of the songs that are currently in the game from other FF games is solely due to the fact that SE has been able to obtain the rights to utilize this music in the game, mostly due to the fact that Uematsu has been heavily involved in the production of XIV's score.

Music produced by other composers in other games falls outside of SE's rights and the "fair use" argument only works within US copyright laws. Being that SE is a JP company they fall under much stricter copyright laws than we do here.

In short... You can perform them, but those performances definitely cannot be recorded and in performing them you run the risk of being banned for the performance in general.
