A Lalafel on the Roof. Sounds crazy no? In our little world of Hydaelyn, you might say every one of us is a lalafel on the roof, trying to stop the Ascians from destroying our light without falling off and breaking our legs. It isn't easy. You may ask, why do we stay up there if it is so dangerous? We stay in Hydaelyn because it is our home. And how do we keep our balance? That I can tell you in one word: potatoes.

Because of our potatos, we've kept our balance for many, many years. Here in Hydaelyn we have potatoes for everything: shopkeeper potatoes, chocobo breeder potatoes, even weaver potatoes. For instance, that little potato over there is a wealthy womanizer. He has many dancing girls. You may ask, how did he get so lucky with the women? I'll tell you - I don't know - but it is a potato. And because of our potatos, everyone knows who they are and what Hydaelyn expects us to do.
