New Long Hairstyles

Does anyone know if we're getting any new decent looking long hairstyles? All of the current ones kinda blow. Even the new one.

SE does not like long hairstyles, they dont like clipping, which is also one of the reasons why they removed Dark Knights black aura before HW launch. At best, I think they will give the female hime hairstyle that Au Ra has to other females.

There's so much clipping in this game already, with virtually anything, that it's really a terrible argument.

If they would actually care, they'd work towards removing clipping instead of limiting their design options. Sure, removal of clipping would require the game to actually recognize the hair, tails, horns, clothes and what not as physical objects and follow a set procedure in what to hide and what to leave visible...aka. it would increase system requirements (though most certainly it would be possible to make it an optional feature). It would also increase costs of development of any graphics related to characters. But honestly, when this game doesn't receive even quarter of its pure profit back, it's anything but unreasonable to expect Square Enix to actually invest in this game significantly more.

They dislike clipping... yet they apparently also dislike or otherwise refuse to bother with (1) assigning auto-adjustable variation sets (as in Tera, etc., wherein the player can tie back their hair at varying levels to avoid clipping: each hair-type belonging to a set, seen at various lengths while keeping to a similar feel when tied back, up, or not at all) or (2) reanchoring (as per BDO or LA) to push the strands outward as to lay over the edges of one's clothes. Makes for quite a dilemma.

Clipping already happens and it's up to the player to solve it if they wish. It's not a reason to deny us good looking hairstyles like Ysayle's hair.

I agree with Reinha. Obviously clipping is an issue. But they have some current long hairstyles that are unavoidable clipping. So adding new ones doesn't take aaway or fix the current situation. People build glamour sets around their hair, as do I. My outfit is made for long hair, and its a shame I cant use any decent looking ones.

We do have some long hairstyles already, so nothing should stop SE from adding more! I don't think they're using the clipping argument anymore, are they?

I agree with more long hairstyles, even if it's an up-do. In particular, I'd like to see this one:

I just feel like they should create short versions of hairstyles to match with coats. If you wear a coat that has clipping issues, then you get the short version.

Or at least make it an option.

What I'd really love to see is fluffier/messier hairstyles, whether they be long or short. I really liked the "samurai" hair they added in 4.0 but it's not enough IMO
