Heya! So I've noticed that jobs like WAR and SMN whose abilities can switch depending on stances. Can we apply that to FSH as well? So whereas, on land, it enables fishing skills (Cast, Hook, Hooksets, Patience, etc.) and, on water, it enables spearfishing skills such as Gig, Veteran Trade, etc.

While it won't address everything you want, I've consolidated a lot of them on my own with a macro. Hook, mooch, cast, and gig can all go on the same button. Keep cast on your bar though for the rare occasions when you will want to keep a moochable fish.

Two Hotbars is easily enough buttons to hold everything Fishing teaches you, so not sure why this is a problem right now (though in a future expansion, if they add onto it, it might be a problem later).
If that's not enough, you could always swap hotbars; pick a hotbar you're not using for anything at all, and put the spearfishing stuff on it. When you spearfish, swap Hotbar #1 for Hotbar #x and when you're done spearfishing, swap it back.
Though I will admit, less clutter is less clutter and the idea has merit. But if they decide not to do it, you got some suggestions on work-arounds in the meantime. -
