per his request. I did not get to speek to Iluvoratin as i had some RL issues pop up but would love to have a chance to talk to a gm that can look at my characters info and just say whats missing as i've tried everything i can think of.


Date & Time: oct 1st - nov 11th
Frequency: Repeatedly
World name: Malboro
Character name: Mayara Vel
Class/Level: Monk: 70, Drk Knight: 70, Whm: 70
Met all the requirements to join the mentorship program as a mentor yet despite going over every dungeon twice or more to make sure i have them totally cleared the damned smith npc never gives an option to join.
Some theories about this have revolved around Drk not being a base tank class with no real base. But this is kinda infuriating that I cant seem to find a gm that can take a look at my characters info and just go "you missed these" if they are not that busy.

Did you complete the job quests at level 60 for each? There's an an achievement for them you'll need to qualify.

DRK does count towards the tank requirement. I became one with BRD/DRK/AST to 60 back when it first came out. Make sure you've done your job quests to get the achievements for them.

Just to clarify, you’ve also completed the Number of Instanced Duties and Player Commendations achievements, right? (I believe it’s 1,000 instanced duties and 300 commendations; it’s been a while since I’ve looked into the mentor requirements.)

Yeah I've checked, got all the listed requirements that were updated with SB so i really dunno whats wrong its just exhaustingly tired and annoying at this point ._.

If you can’t get the DoW/DoM requirements to work, you could try for the DoH/DoL requirements. Not ideal, but it will get you mentor status nonetheless, and unlock Mentor Roulette/give you the crown all the same. I believe they’re still 1 crafter/1 gatherer to 70, 100 synthesized collectibles, and 300 gathered collectibles. Not ideal, but it will give you mentor status all the same.

It’s been a while since I’ve messed with this, but when I spoke to the Smith, the option was something along the lines of “Become a mentor” or something like that. I can’t really remember because it’s been so long. ^^;; DRK does count for the 1 tank requirement though; I can definitely clarify that for you. I doubt they changed that for SB.

I’m sure you’re doing this, but do be sure to speak to the Smith on one of your max level jobs, not one you’re in the process of leveling. :3
