Again I play as a Duskwight Elezen, so I don't know if this happens with other races or not.
When I'm targeting something, it could be to my left or behind me, it doesn't really matter, as long as it's not to my right or in front of me, but my character likes to twist his neck like an owl, almost 180 degrees to the right to look at stuff targeted behind him or to the left, and very rarely looks to the left period
I don't know if something changed rather recently but I have noticed this on other races as well.
