Items on accounts

Why does SE not allow me to move mats from character to character. ATM, I'm the FC lead, so I don't mind people having alts and we leave tab 1 open/clear to do so. Not all fc's will even bring your alt in. I do an alt so we can have access to all specialists in my FC, being maybe 4~7 of us are active, but only 2 of us want to craft.... It would be nice to have a spot we can move between characters on the same account. I ask my wife to help and I hear I'll get to it, and maybe the next day she actually mails me the items. But there has to be a better way.

For now that is the only way. That kind of is the purpose of retainers. Alternate characters are considered individual for those who share the game with others. If you think about it it would be pretty hectic for GM's if you share your account and your stuff is gone do to access by another user. For now FC safe and retainers are the only solutions.
