We get less collector's edition bonus items since ARR

Ever noticed that ^ ?

For ARR, we get a handful of things: two mounts, two minions, barding, and a helmet

For HW, we got one mount, one minion, and a helmet

And SB, is one mount, one minion, and a weapon

My guess was to make it more "price equivalent" considering how expensive their mounts are on mogstation, but at the same time these mounts can't be purchased otherwise... so I think it should be more catching like it was in ARR to... "inspire" people to spend the extra $20 or so.

I spent the extra $20 on HW when it first came out and decided it wasn't worth it thereafter. So, I didn't bother to spend the extra $20 on SB, either, since they were basically the same. The ARR bonuses appeal to me much more.

What are your thoughts?

I noticed this, I remember when I first started the game on the trial, I took one look at the collectors edition items for ARR and instantly bought it. You get two mounts,two minions, a hat, and barding.

When Heavensward came around I ended up buying the collectors edition, but I feel like they should have added more.

I haven't bought SB but I am not buying the collectors edition when I do, I'm only buying for the classes. If SE wanted people to buy it, they should add more items OR better items imo. (like ARR had a moogle minion and a coeurl mount- I think that's pretty awesome. HW gave a griffin, thats cool. SB gives some water mount thing that looks likes the loch ness monster -___-

It is but it was added as a reward in April of 2014 when the PS4 version launched.

I don't think the overall package has changed too much, since I'm easily triggered by false value propositions. ARR also had that whole "we're making the game cheaper than usual, so we have a chance of saving this game" theme going on.

that being said, I think the value of the physical CEs has gone absolutely bonkers. even a very elaborate statue doesn't cost 200 bucks to make. it's tragic that they decided to go for the whales instead of making most collector's items and even mog shop stuff accessible to most players. I'm a pretty hardcore ff fan, but I notice when I get robbed for no other reason than greed.

I've spent more than $200 on figures before.
The quality to price ratio on the figures (not counting misgardsormr) isn't outside the norm in the figure world.

Someone hasn’t played FFV.

This doesn't include the pre-order bonuses.

But just judging the CE on its own. I believe they're fair. And ARR probably got more added when they also released on console, hence why the added chocobo. Also it's added incentive to come back to a game with really bad press previous 2.0. They didn't have that worry with HW and SB.

I've bought all the digital CE. No regrets with any of them.
