A question regarding the forums from a returning player

I made a mistake making my display name for the forums back in 2013 and it has a typo in it and I have not really used the forums as a result of this. I am aware this may not be the appropriate area to ask this question but since I'm not sure where I should ask I figured I would ask here.

Is there any to go about requesting a one-time display name change on the forums?

Can I change my nickname in the forum?

A nickname cannot be changed once it has been created.

Not possible i'm afraid which I think is silly.

Thanks for the reply! I have to say though, if what you say is true, then this is the stupidest policy I have ever heard of. A forum account is directly associated with the SE account used to play FFXIV. I understand that they don't want people changing names whenever they feel like it but in my case my name was caused by an error and unlike almost every other forum on the internet I cant just fix my problem by making another forum account with the name I had intended to use in the first place thus abandoning the other
