Suggestion: Big red cross over role/cross-class actions not currently enabled

I'm still leveling my crafters so I don't know if this will change at end-game.

Problem: When I switch out cross-class abilities for different recipes, I often have to go through all 10 of the cross-class skills to make sure I have the ones I need, because they are all greyed out on my hotbar before starting the craft, making it impossible to determine whether any particular ability I plan to use is missing. This can become tedious and lead to mistakes starting a craft without the cross-class I want.

Suggestion: Show a big red cross on the actual ability on my actual hotbars when that ability is not avaiable due to it not being selected as a cross-class.

This lets me to know exactly what cross-class I'm missing at a glance, and is superior to having to look at the cross class action panel because:

• Abilities that are set on my hotbar have a fixed location. Abilities on the row of 10 cross-class that are enabled can swap places depending on which ones I swap out, so the frequently swapped ones are almost never in the same place, making it easy to make a mistake.
• I don't have to open the Actions panel to know; I can see immediately which cross-class abilities I'm missing because it'll show up on my hotbar with a red cross.

This will be a significant quality of life improvement for people who play multiple classes/jobs in parallel.

I agree that the crafting cross class abilities could use an indicator that shows at a glance which ones on your bar are not currently slotted, but the big red X already has an established meaning (namely, "This ability no longer exists.") The yellow warning triangle with exclamation point would be better. In the context of gearsets, this means, "Something is missing from this set." Similarly, we could adapt it to actions to mean, "This action is missing from your slotted additional actions."

I agree. I thought of the red cross because it was already in game, so it would be available to implement immediately. A proper indicator like your mock-up is much better.

Don't particularly care for this suggestion. I keep all my role abilities on my job's hotbar, and it just wouldn't sit right with me to have huge crosses or warning signs slapped over my skills that aren't currently equipped.
