What's the Creepiest Thing You've Experienced In-Game?

Happy Halloween Eorzea! Have you ever experienced anything unexplainable while exploring the wilds of this wonderful world?

For me it was when I ported to Dry Bone, and while standing beside the aetheryte about a half dozen people dressed in different colored hooded robes ported in and disappeared instantaneously in rapid succession. This happened twice and each time lasted less than two seconds. :eek:

Haha, sounds like you met with a bunch of bots.

My weirdest was when I queued for The Aery, and when we got in we had 5 people in our party. However, one of them was nowhere to be seen. It turns out they were in the same dungeon, but was completely alone in a different instance. We were able to chat and everything. I wish they could have stayed, but they left to requeue. :P

When I found a naked male AuRa and a group of scantily clad female characters in my FC's hot tub trying to eRP. Had to lock the FC house for a week after that... ;A;

Yeah, afterwards I kinda figured, but when it happened it seemed like some kind of hidden cult or something with the robes and all

THIS had me laughing, reminded me of a Family Guy episode where Stewie went to a posh preschool and threw a party at another guy's mansion pretending to be a rich kid to his rich classmates. He got busted, too.

The creepiest thing that ever happened to me? I was minding my own business at the edge of Bronze Lake back when I was Level 50 when a giant tonberry spawned right next to me and stabbed me in the back. Dead. Then the crowd came and destroyed it. I know it's Marberry the A Rank of Upper La Noscea now, but it scared the bones out of my body when it happened.

Went to the place to start it and was met with countless whispers and normal chat from furries trying to roleplay and "yiff" with people. Needless to say I had to completely turn off chat, rush through the event and got the hell out of there. I won't even go back to run the haunted house to earn the cookies for the rewards.

To answer you... probably some of the threads I have seen here in the last couple of years.

As soon as I saw the reward gear for the event I pretty much decided not to even bother with it. Mostly because I knew something like that would probably happen.

Also apparently if a PLD uses cover when Shinryu is dropping to knock you to the other platform... The pld will go flying into outerspace and die (he goes flying twice as far) while the person he covered sits on the platform with shinryu during add phase... That was creepy.
