I think someone is happy that ARCs will not pose a threat as far as DPS is concerned but moreover boost his own. I wasn't around for the ARC nerf, but I'm sure you were ecstatic about that too~

I think bard is necessary, but c'mon, as the job for the only ranged class that doesn't use magic in this game, really?

im wondering if bard bows damage will be nerfed to compensate for other ability's.

The bard will most likely not be shooting anything if he has to run around buffing everyone~

I am really excited to play bard but I do feel bad that people playing archer for the damage don't get job that reflects the DD side. I know they said that we are stuck with 1 class = 1 job but I wish they would branch out more so archer could unlock both bard and ranger or something.

Man I played ARC pre-nerf and even I was hoping for a nerf. I made leve parties un-fun just by doing anything.

If Bard songs have a good enough duration then you really won't be running around buffing all the time. I'm pretty psyched about it.

Also @ Yelta: It's 1 job per class right now but there are plans for multiclass jobs and such down the line.

Awesome! I've seen people suggest it but not that they were looking into it. Where did you see that? I try to stay on top of things but sometimes miss good stuff.

I recall on me server an 31 archer when I was a 27 gladiator trying to hold hate.

My happy 40 damage swings, trying to use virtually every enmity ability (except for Disorient) to take/hold the hate. When I checked the combat logs and saw, "421 damage" pop up three times as the opening attack, I knew why I couldn't hold hate and also why enemies were dying so fast.

As a Gladiator, I felt like I contributed nothing to the group. I could not hold hate. My damage was low. And there was no use in asking the archer to hold back with Quelling Strike, Chameleon, or Collusion if their actions ended combat significantly faster.

Wow those sound like pretty bad times, no wonder everyone's laughing at ARC getting the b*tch role!

Well, at least I know they'll be in demand, but 1 per party of 8 is all you'll really need I'm guessing.. hopefully others won't have to sit!
