Guessing Bosses for Omega Raid 4.2

Even though it won't be another 3 or 4 months til 4.2, I may have a guess or 2 on which bosses on which FF game will be next. I think Omega will be showing on the games he's appeared in (Probably including the remakes). If that's the case I would have to guess Final Fantasy 1. But if not then maybe at least FF4. What do you think? Which past FF games would be used for Omega 4.2?

My wild guess is that it's going to be FF4 themed. We'll probably fight Zemus transitioning into Zeromus, along with the Four Elemental Fiends. I don't know if there's a place for Golbez there.

Would be interesting to see them take on FFVI. I imagine Kefka's final form in Savage mode would be insane. Fighting the weapons in FFVII would be pretty neat too.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing FFII represented in some way, even if most people don't like the game.

I'd love to see FFXIV's take on Beelzebub, Astaroth, Yamatano Orochi... you can even make O8S a 2 or 3-phase fight with the Emperor which would be pretty cool.

FFIV with the Four FIends (or 3 fiends plus Zeromus). Or even FFVI with Kefka at the end. But I cannot think on mid bosses, since FFXIV already have almost all iconic FFVI bosses on the game (Death Gaze, old Magitek machines, The Warring Triad, number 128 and number 024, etc).


But, personally, I want something new. Omega based themed. Or NieR based (if that is possible). Massive boss like the Engels.

At some point I think it would be cool to do one for Ultimecia's Castle from FFVIII someday. I mean, there's the Omega Weapon in the castle, if nothing else. It could be an actual revamped version of the Ultima fight with new mechanics that make it a pretty good challenge. I haven't tried Proto Ultima yet, but the consensus seems to be that it was kind of disappointing even when it was relevant. Either way, the castle had a ton of bosses to fight, and the time/space shenanigans make Ultimecia a decent candidate for a cameo too.

Given how much FF6 has been done, I think at some point (this coming tier or next, especially if we're going to 4.7 / four raid tiers) they're going to cave and cash in on FF7. Jenova, the Turks / Shinra trash fight, some Weapon, Seph. Easy four choices.

Although, they probably don't just want this to be a "tournament arc" plot all the way through - if Omega is inclined to summon something into Eorzea to create a "real threat" to spur the "hero effect", they could easily just leave the fanservice angle entirely. Or integrate it in some way i.e. create a Kuja that wants to go down Antitower to destroy the mother crystal.

Personally I'd love to see FF8 though. The castle bosses, Lunatic Pandora bosses, Griever, Galbadian things like the machine from the base, and there are a number of memorable rando-bosses too.

If I don't see the 4 Elemental Fiends at some point in Omega, even if it's just a guantlet affair like A6 was, I'll be highly disappointed.

If they can find an excuse to get Einhander in this game, they can and SHOULD find an excuse to get other Square Franchise bosses/nods in here when they can, and Omega is a decent way to do that.
