minimap issues

Two things:

1: The small arrow the represents me is not aligned with the highlighted field of view cone that shows the viewable area on the screen. The arrow is right in the middle of the cone and its hard to tell if my current place on the map is reflected by the arrow or by the tip of the cone.

2: Gathering points are not all showing up on the mini map. I see some but not others.

That field of view is the camera view, not character. That is why it's behind the arrow.

1) The arrow is your character's position and direction. The highlighted cone is your camera's direction. Your character is located at the center of the arrow. Since the camera is behind your character, the cone and arrow do not line up.

2) Only offhand gathering points (botanist: shrubs, fisher: spearfishing, miner: quarrying) are displayed on the minimap. Mainhand gathering points (botanist: logging, fisher: fishing, miner: mining) are not displayed on the minimap.

Both of these were explained in patch release notes in detail, the cone is the field of view cone, not the character view cone (try switching to first person view and see what happens to the cone) and the gathering points are secondary nodes, not primary ones, they were added because we have no way of locating secondary nodes like we do the primary ones, and they will move/disappear with use, also if you're referring to not being able to see miner's quarry points, a lot of them are underground and will not be visible on the minimap until you enter the cave they're in most of the time.
