I went to hand in a journal with a 2-line completion earlier and got no rewards at all for it, Khloe just replaced it with an empty journal upon trying to turn it in. What exactly is this all about?

You only have two weeks to complete your wondrous tails. Keep in mind the "weeks" aren't timed from when you picked up your book, but is actually two weekly resets.

Did you accept your rewards? You have a choice of what to pick for each tier of rewards based on lines. You have to select the rewards you want or you will get nothing and just get the next book.
