Mount Music PLEASE

Can we please get a simple UI checkbox option that keeps mount music constant (doesn't get quiet if we stop moving). Also and this is a long stretch but could we could get an option to disable Combat Music ......some zones i'd rather hear that particular zones BGM while fighting the baddies. I don't know how this game is coded and if that would be big undertaking for the devs so my suggestion would be to do it how Everquest 2 has done it..... there is a sound slider for combat music....if you move it all the way left (to zero) you will no longer hear combat music and instead only hear the BGM of whatever zone you are in.

Well, you can always listen to the zone themes on your Orchestrion if all you want to listen to is the music. As for mount music, it's had that 'fade low when stationary, loud when moving' effect since version 1.0, so I don't see Soken changing it I'm afraid.

More options are always a good thing however (given Soken did add a 'disable mount music' option in Config after players requested it, it's possible).

Also, this is just me being a smartcat but Squaresoft doesn't exist anymore - it's been Square Enix since 2003. ;)

To your first point; true I could listen to Orchestrion but I can't run around doing Fates and other misc. tasks while listening to an Orchestrion. And like you said they did eventually add an option to completely disable mount, so I don't see how removing the fade wouldn't be in the realm of possibilities. Like I was always told - "It doesn't hurt to ask" the worst thing that can happen is you get a simple "No".

And I know they are Square Enix now but ironically how you said you were being a "smartcat" that was sort of my intention as well hehe. When they were Squaresoft everything they did was right, and they could do no wrong, by me at least.

I particularly want this whenever I use the Magitek Armour mount. I really like Terra's Theme, but the armour's noisy footsteps nearly drown it out. I keep trying to stop a moment so I can listen, except stopping also stops the music. (Ok, technically stopping only lowers the volume of the music, but by enough that I can't effectively listen to it.)

I'd like to be able to disable the combat music. The sound of it makes me tense when I'm running through a zone and draw aggro on something I have no intention of stopping to fight... I'm weird.
