Royal City of Rabanastre Loot problem.

Dear Squeenix,

Add tokens to your 24-man dungeons already. Your loot tables fucking suck and you know it.
I've been looking for the Dragoon gloves and boots, and have run the new raid all the way through 23 times now since it's been released. Haven't seen either of them drop once.

Thank you.

My only complain is that, as a card collector, the cards only drop once and it's alliance wide.

Can't say I disagree. There has to be a better way to encourage players to play it throughout the week.

Your own post explains why they won't. Would you have ran 23 times had you been awarded a token after your first run? Would you have ran more than once at all that week? The whole purpose behind RNG based loot drops, as frustrating as they may be, is to ensure people continuously queue. The only alternative I could see maybe being considered is a token system similar to Primal farms-- where you can exchange a certain amount for what you want. Say twenty runs. That way you're eventually guaranteed to get it.

This would be great for most things, I think. With rare stuff like mounts or glamours to keep people doing it even past that, also like the Primals are.

I don't even bother beyond the 1 run needed to get the coin each week. The gear iLvl is only 330. You can buy the tomestone gear and upgrade to i340 by trading the coin you get each week. No real point collecting the gear unless you want it for glam.

It definitely takes advantage of the 20+ run players to keep queues popping, but then you have the minority, like me, who are well aware of the devs' gambling addictions and only run it once, drop be damned. I would run it 5-10 times if that let me pick what I wanted from the drop pool, but it doesn't, so I won't suffer Derpy Finder until they implement a fix.

The drop system, excluding ex fights and 8mans, is unsustainable. Gods help us if they add a new set category like OF AGILITY or something.

Or you could use the gear from Royal City for your non-main jobs.
Also, Glam shouldn't be an option with that gear; It all looks atrocious and should be burned in Ifrit's Domain forever.

Gear treadmill is too fast to stress out over gear unless you plan on doing the new Bahamut and if you are this gear is worthless anyway.

I learned my lesson fast, by the time World of Darkness hit, I was already to the point where I ran it once, maybe twice if I got bored, and if I got gear great, if not oh well. For extremes and regular dungeon grinds tome/nm omega gear is just fine. I will put days and weeks heck even a year into something if I know it will be long lasting. Relics and mythics in ffxi for example. This game though, the reward is generally not worth the hassle.

On that note, I wont even grind extremes anymore. Not when they set the cost of a mount at 99 tokens. Seriously if rng is so bad I cant get a mount in 99 tries its not worth my time. It's not like I'm really gonna use it. I ground out Kirin and I got 4 birds by chance helping people with clears and doing weekly tales runs. Haven't even stepped foot into the new extremes yet.

So my suggestion is just grind tomes and have a nice cup of tea. Things wont change until we refuse to participate in the madness.

Good thing I don't have to deal with these RNG from Rabanastre.
My main's already i340 few days before 4.1.
So I can just run it 1 time and be done for a week.
I'm just roll on any gear that can replace any 310 piece on NiN,Goon,Brd(MCH),Tank or Healer.
