I think he was trying to be helpful, though the necessity of a "guide" for a seasonal event like this is not very high. If you can read the announcement post and go to the location indicated it practically throws the rewards in your face if you just click through it all.

Not home yet, looks like the same dungeon as last year? Not complaining, was fun.

Helpful would be posting a quick text guide here if people needed it, rather than linking to his website and start the guide with "Teleport to New Gridania".
