4.1 Positive Points
Thank you for Ivalice raid and this new lv70 dungeon, i love the areas and all the efforts, the creativity you put in it SE team :)
Gameplay is fun and those places are just awsome!
I'm happy about the new tribal quests too, the new design you added to the housing sectors and the diffrent jobs adjustments.
I was curious to see how the main story line would continue but i'm not disapointed just a bit short imo :p i want to discover the next chapter!!
I tested the squad system and i find it fun, it's not perfect but i'm sure you will improove it later. I hope we will be able to equip them with some better stuff for example, and the tank IA could be arranged a bit ^^
Ho and thank you for all those new emotes!
I haven't specified all the content you added but i wanted to underline some positiv points to me cause we were all frustrated concerning the housing content and totally forget the rest......it's good to say when we aren't happy but it's better to do both.
I can imagine if i was in your shoes how demotivated i would be by reading only some negativ comments, so thank you for the new patch!
ps : sorry for my bad english

I want to say thank you for the new sightseeing log outside the Kugane tower...you know, the "Watch me fly and pray I land on it" one(and I'm being serious, it was fun to work my way up the tower, and fly off to try landing on it...took 5 attempts the first time, and once the second time to show FC people where I jump from).
Edit: And I guess thank you for all the additional content of things for me to do. The more stuff there is for me to do, the more likely I am to log in most days.

I agree with just about every single point here. I'm very pleased with this patch.
-
I wasn't expecting SE to be *that* evil and place that vista right below Kugane Tower. It took me several tries to climb it, but I thankfully one-shot it when I jumped down. Truly evil.

Truthfully, I'm only here for the squadron updates & the progression of the story. I've never enjoyed doing the 24-man raids, so that's squared off for me, but for what I have done, it's extremely well done.
-
Loved the 24 man and hope for more instances that require swimming and diving.
I like squadrons. TBH this patch had everything in one. Except for DRK fixes but I will stay positive.
-
Enjoyed 24 man so far (not cleared it yet) due to nostalgia to FF Tactics. Chocobo Meteor!
However rest of it is very meh to me, i unlocked Skalla for Expert roulette but im not hyped to finish MSQ.
I hope 4.2 will bring me joy with the new content, in the meantime i just do what i love in the game... Crafting

I've been having a lot of fun in this patch. There are many things I love about it, especially the fluff content (>w<) (of course the raid/dungeon content is a lot of fun too, without mentioning how awesome I found the main quest! Too many things to list).

-i'm loving the dungeons with squadron , even if i have a war 68/69 i never tanked in a dungeon stronger than Hauke , now with this thing i leveled DRK and PAL to 41 ....and they will be 50 soon or later to start the HW quests
same with healers , i only got a SCH cuz i'm a former SMN but i never healed anything higher than hauke
-i love the 24 players raid , FFT is my favorite final
-no problem with housing for me , as i think Lavender is a better zone
-beast tribes to level my war and later my other heals/tanks
just one thing : as we only get one dungeons each patch now , i would have prefered a slightly harder one
oh and : i dont even think the Alchemist master 5 mount is craftable atm , but i'll just have to wait ^^
so far so good

Additions to Lost Canals are great but also kinda disappointing - did like 10 maps yesterday that procced Canals, only got one thief map and it booted us out on the first floor. Still, I'm always heartened by updates to old features instead of introducing them then forgetting about them, and maps are a pleasant diversion from primals and raiding.
Story was good but not a fan of the redemption arcs for the attractive women with tragic backstories, if I'm allowed to be so blunt. Hoping the story has a bit more nuance than that in future developments, most notably with Yotsuyu. Also hoping some serious attempt at reconciliation with the beast tribes is attempted at some point, since we haven't had much in that area since...3.4, I think, and the theme of coexistence with indigenous peoples with different belief systems is kind of compelling from a narrative viewpoint. Still, overall I liked it and am as usual looking forward to more.
24-man raid is excellent, though a little on the easy side for me. Still, Void Ark was also easy and later on Mhach/Scaith were some of the best fun I've ever had in XIV, so I'm not letting the difficulty color my enjoyment just yet. The last boss in particular introduced a few new mechanics that, while in need of tweaking, are syicide refreshing and fun.
Shinryu EX I think is lackluster. More pushback mechanics on narrow platforms and only the healable head adds are a relatively unique mechanic. I can appreciate that the fight is visually impressive and satisfies on the immersion front, but in terms of gameplay I think it's a somewhat weak entry to the EX primal library. I actually think the 24-man raid had more unique mechanics than ShinEX, and it'd be great if one day we got harder 8-man versions of those or something in the future.
Beast tribes are beast tribes, not much to say there. Do enjoy that the scaling exp is continuing from HW, making it easy to do multiple tasks like farm rep and level alt jobs at the same time.
New dungeon was meh, but most of them are to me these days. Standard speed pull n AOE fare here. I doubt they'll ever be interesting mechanically with the way gearing is structured in this game.
Just my quick thoughts on stuff popped off while bored at work.
