PVP Rank and PVP Experience Change

Rank what is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

Give Rank a meaning. For each 10 you get an additional trait or ability. Because otherwise your experience change is meaningless.

Previously rank was nice because it gave you the ability to buff your pvp skills or traits.

Storm Chaser is a freakin awesome title.

PvP rank doesn't fit at all with the new design. It doesn't affect any stats or abilities so everything can be homogenized, so it's only purpose now is for achievements and titles. We can brainstorm other ways it can be used, like the out-dated Materia Vendor, but it can't affect what you can do inside of Feast or Frontlines.

The other thing we could do is strip the construct of "experience" and limit it solely to the Achievements tab, something like "participate in 1500 wolve's den or frontlines matches" to get the Chaser titles or however many matches it takes on average to get to PvP level 50.

Could at least bring back rank-exclusive glams, ffs.

Oh I know. But it seems silly to grant experience for something that doesn't really serve a benefit. I have almost all 3 GC's at rank 50 and two of them were for the ability points. The other was because my gf is a flame and so I joined her in 4.0 after it was useless. I am now rank 45 but it's only something i see when I go to the PVP tab.

Its kinda bummer that ranks have absolutely no meaning at the moment, back in HW i grinded all 3 to max so i could change GC if needed and still have AP for all skills. Honestly i don't know what they could add to ranks to make it meaningful while still not impacting pvp itself, glamour would be easiest thing to add but we all know how big shitstorm would follow after that.

And make it so that long-time pvpers have an advantage against new people when they just made it an even playing field? No.

Just remove ranks.

Maybe useful for something planned for the next season? Masteries? (one can dream)

I would rather they offer all of the same rewards that are in the Grand Company to the pvp vendor. Then break them up by rank. Or something similar. If pve players are going to pvp for pve xp, then pvp players should be able to obtain pve rewards from pvp.

This is actually a great idea. Just like GC's have rank tiers to buy stuff with GC seals, give us a Wolve's Den Vendor where we can spend Wolves Marks for stuff that unlocks in tiers based on PvP level. That's where we can buy stuff with our PvP currency like Aetheryte tickets, venture coins, housing, stuff like that. It'll give both our PvP currency and our PvP level more meaning at the same time.

I believe that PvP glamour used to be locked behind PvP rank. But they removed it for some reason, probably from people who don't want to PvP bawling that they want the glamglams.
