Shake it off and thrill of battle

Shake it off gives an 8% of max HP shield, 4% extra increase for every buff it consumes.

But how does this work in relation to thrill of battle? Thrill increases max HP by 20%, so when is the buff consumed? Before shake it off is applied, or after?

E.G. You have 1000 HP, thrill of battle increases that to 1200 HP, you use shake it off giving a 12% of max HP shield, is that shield 120 HP (12% of 1000, applied after Thrill of battle is removed)? Or 144 hp (12% of 1200, applied before thrill of battle is removed)?

I've been wondering this myself. Anyone know?

It's based on your base maximum HP. As a result, the amount of HP returned as a party shield is the same as if you're Taylor Swifting Inner Release

Yes, each individual party members HP is used. So for the War's shield, does it include the ToB HP? Does it snapshot your HP before it eats the buff and you get an extra 20% more shield from ToB or does it eat ToB THEN look at your HP and you just get the 4% from eating ToB.

Dispels Thrill of Battle, Inner Beast, Vengeance, and Raw Intuition, increasing damage absorbed by 4% for each effect removed."

A literal reading would say: Creates barrier totaling % of HP. Then dispels. But just because the sentences are in that order doesn't mean they programmed it that way. If the dispel is 1st, ToB doesn't double dip. If it checks HP before dispel, then ToB does double dip.

We need some 10k needle tests!!!

I would think, based on the simple fact it's consuming one/some buff(s) to boost another, that it would not be included in the snapshot. But I certainly don't know for sure.

I have 55k HP, so the 8% Shake it Off is 4.4k. A 12% Shake it Off using Vengeance/RI/IB would be 6.6k. Lightning sprites hit me for ~1.4k, so Shake it Off should have broken on the 5th hit. Instead, it took 5 full hits and another 1k damage off the 6th, which is (1400*5)+1000=8000 damage shielded.

I have 66k HP with Thrill, and 12% of that is 7920, so Shake it Off includes Thrill's HP.

Well that image shows the evidence pretty clearly that you gain the shake it off buff BEFORE thrill is removed and thus the thrill hp would be included.
