Company Leve Guard Missions

For the Company leve quests where we have to guard an NPC (more so, the ones where we have to guard an NPC that is a member of our company)

Can you make it where that NPC is added to the party, and further more allow for them to fight, assist with the battle.

Now, I don't expect to see something like this before 2.0, but I think it would really allow for a better play experience, if NPCs would react, fight, assist, help, if a monster was eating their face off.

Love what you have done so far, looking forward to the rest of this year. :)

Assist makes sense, but fight? They are usually miners and stuff, we sure can't do much of anything on our DoL classes. I would just be happy if they use potions on themselves once in a while or something instead of standing around looking completely retarded.

Agreed, but I'm referring to the ones who are not miners/DOL etc. For the ones that I have run, and have to guard, they are archers. ;)

The archer will just stand there, getting killed, and not lift a finger... In my mind, the company would be better off having him killed.

Anyway, you're right, not fighter classes shouldn't fight, but they should at least assist, or have some more interaction with the environment. :)

IMO they shouldn't assist...they should do something related to his role there...if they're investigating something would be nice them, at least, walking around and, from time to time, doing some "investigation" emote, like crouching down, searching something at soil and then doing that classic "rubbing index and thumb in front of the eyes pretending they found something" animation.

It's just like the defense leves...what the hell are we protecting there? Protecting the lawn from yarzon or elemental poo? They should've added some kind of facility for us to protect, also having monsters attack it as priority...at least it would make sense.
