DoT/HoT Damage Display

I'm not really sure how many other people would like to see this, but ever since Final Fantasy XI I always wanted to see what kind of damage my DoT's were doing on screen (as well as HoTs). Instead, if we wanted to figure out exactly what was being dealt we had to do agonizing tests according to ones INT, MATK, MND, whatever.

In Final Fantasy XIV nothing has changed. Since the server already logs this kind of data when a fight is occurring, I was curious why it isn't being displayed on screen and in our logs as well. Is it really that big of an issue to simply turn on? Everything else is shown to us, MP regen abilities, HP cure effects, damage effects, etc. however our DoTs and HoTs aren't.

Thoughts?

I would also like to see this happen. Some other MMOs do it so we should to.

I think a Rep already said that they're looking to implement it for 2.0, but thumbs up anyway for bringing it again.

Oh really, my bad D:

I see no reason why everytime my DoT tics damage that I shouldn't see in the same color and location on the mob that I see any direct damage. The same should go for any future HoT from heal spells,

Yer i could of sworn a rep confirmed it was on the list of things to be implemented.

I also think they said there would be a display toggle on/off for heals/dots/dps ect.
