PLEASE BUFF PIETY STAT
As someone who doesn't main healer but tank I can obviously see Piety stat is... Not good aside from mana battery for more heals... just make it so it affects both attack AND healing magic potency as well as Direct Hit rate stat so that Piety doesn't look as bad for healers...

That wouldn't be too bad, I guess. But even doing one thing, it's already so weak. Even if you decide "I want more MP for emergency situations."... a piety 6 materia gives you what, 100~110 ish mp? Cure costs 600, regen 840, cure 2 1200.... res is 3600... yeah, piety doesn't go very far.
Making it a multirole stat... they would also have to make the bonuses it provides actually decent numberwise to make it competitive...

I wouldn’t mind a tweak to Piety to make it useful beyond the low minimum required to function. Healer gear alone gives more MP than anyone should ever need outside of the worst of (actually survivable) emergencies.

I like being able to ignore piety. I actually don't want a hard choice between which materia will benefit me most. I want to be a strong healer and making every materia useful to the point of needing a graphing calculator to weigh the risks and rewards is a hell I don't wanna live through.

It's no big deal. Just would be nice if they start making Savage-level Genji gear and weapons not include the "mandatory" PIE on everything.
Every tier the raid healer weapons are PIE/Crit, PIE/DET, PIE/SpS. Unfortunately one healer gets stuck with the low-ball two stats (WHM, Genji Cane this tier).
You figure those clearing O4S regularly can handle their PIE load and mix-match accordingly. If we got more weapons and chests that are Crit/Det, Crit/SpS it would be a little more useful instead of PIE+something else everywhere.
I was a little surprised to finally see a tank weapon without Tenacity, the Shinryu Axe of all things.

I can see Piety acting like Tenacity. While Tenacity is both damage and mitigation increasing stat, Piety can be both MP and healing increasing stat. Either that or make Piety increase MP regen as well as max MP.

I have no problem with the stat as it is now.
But I wouldn't mind if it could be like tenacity.
You wouldn' want to avoid it like today when you reached a certain cap when you think you don't need extra piety.
