can we keep our retainer's job level like player's as we level them? it doesn't feel justified that we have to relevel a job on the same retainer that was leveled before. =(
only complaining because now SE selling retainer job level up potion. feel like they put a gimp system in place so they can sell cash item.
retainer takes a long time to level you know..
I think this is due to them not wanting people to swap retainer jobs often and effect the economy. If you could switch between MIN, FSH and BTN at will it may cause issues. Maybe a 2 week timer on switching jobs, perhaps...
Actually I think it is justified. Otherwise folks would just swap their retainers jobs all the time to farm specific things like minions. They were meant to be rare and you should have to work towards them. Otherwise there is no "accomplishment" involved. Just another "I wanna be lazy hand me everything on a silver platter" like a lot of things. (If that happens we might as well just add every new minion to the mog station and call it a day...)
Swapping between jobs would not affect minions or anything else, a WHM retainer brings the same items as a PLD one, so there's no reason why they should reset their level.
It shouldn't be a problem to keep the level while switching jobs. But still reset it to 1 if switching to another class.
