Exterior furnishing item limit is limiting

Please increase the exterior item limit.
I've been trying to make my garden look nice and it does, in the front at least.
The problem I have is bare fences/walls/corners, if I decorate the walls I have an empty garden and if I decorate the garden I'm staring at bare walls.

The only reason I can think of is that te servers can't handle an increase in exterior items as those need to be loaded by everyone who is entering the ward.
Note that I don't know much about server technology and logic so take my comment with a grain of salt.
But if you can increase the limit to 30 or 40 that'd be much appreciated, not only by me but by at least a few other people who are complaining on the forums
about it and maybe a lot of other people too!

Some larger (not taller) furnishings would go a long way into helping this I think.
For example; the plots of flowers are so small, doubling or tripling the space they take up would be nice.

I don't have a post box in my yard specifically so I have another slot for a furnishing XD.

This is why large plots are mandatory...even 40 for a large is horribly limiting :/ You need multiple plots with different themes...

Haha you're right, I was thinking to do the same but a post box is damn handy to have so I have to take the loss of that one item space ;p

And your idea of grid size adjustable vegetation is brilliant, it's genius really! Can't wait till squeenix makes it happen :o

Currently each ward can potentially be loading up 730 pieces of furniture on top of the house exterior customization. Adding 10 more items per plot is 300 more items loading, 20 would be 600 more items loading and that's if they just added a flat number per plot and didn't give medium/large plots a bigger chunk. They've said they're looking into it, but this is another issue brought to you by the ward system. :(

I'm not sure of the underlying programming but I suspect each ward is a persistent instance so is always taking up the full server resources and is what drives the item limit. This is one reason I would like to have a fully instanced house. You could increase the exterior items as they only take up resources when the house instance is spawned during access.

I support this so much. Hell I'd be fine with even 5 more items for small plots ;-;

I can see why they don't add more exterior item slots, per plot, per ward. It would be too taxing on the servers trying to load in and render all that extra outdoor stuff. I know that people don't understand parts of rendering in and transfer from to their console or PC. They just want be able to make their yard look pretty with little limitation. We love our housing items and decorating, but I love loading into a zone with ease, more. I can think of a lot more important things I would want addressed with the housing issue and this would be at the bottom of my list for now. :)

True, but even with maxed settings you don't have to look very far before outdoor furnishings in neighboring yards stop loading. So it's not displaying all of those items at any given time.

As someone else said, even 5 additional items per house would be nice. I feel like I have so little in my yard.

My WildStar community can have 17,500 decor displayed on the exterior. :) SE needs to improve their programming skills/train their hamsters more.

[edit] Here's a shot of the community myself, my husband, and a friend of ours worked on. You can see a lot, though not all, of the community from atop a hill in one corner (not visible due to the fogginess of the sky we chose: a bunch of a fancy Dominion enclave including shops/homes/restaurant/etc, a floating "college", a city made of shipping containers). It's made of 5 housing plots smushed together with a common area between them. Everything is custom built.
