Wouldn't it be cool if we could buy houses in the open world in cities or villages like the fringes? Not a whole district but just like a small group of stand alone houses maybe like 3 or 4. Get a key to your house like in skyrim. maybe a row or two of houses "all the same size". or an open field "can't be near monsters" and you can plop down a house on the open field. In a perfect world with all the server power ever, that would be cool. ^^
...I've checked the recent census - apparently there are supposed over 9.000 active on your server - think about how it would look if everyone of them could just place somewhere in the world - not even talking about that thats impossible for the server to handle. Lets assume it would be and think about it again - this wasteland where no one is supposed to live? Yeah, sure, 20 mansions cramped in.
The carefully build, actually beautiful world - filled with paissa-homes and moogle-houses.
I spend my afternoon on the top of a house in camp bronzelake. Beautiful view over the lake, I highly recommend it! Its even more beautiful because no one can just put a house down in the middle of the village. Or the lake.
Seriously, this is something thate works in a single player game where its your world. Just placing random houses in Eorzea, a shared world isnt only highly impractical from a server-side its also just terrible to think of.
Sorry, thats not even an idea I'd consider to be "cool" if it would be possible.
Just out in the open world I’d say no, I don’t want a paissa mansion ruining the scenery.
Small pockets of wards (or even instanced houses) further from civilization with an instance that leads to them a la ferry guy? Would leave the Mist in a heartbeat.
You misunderstood I meant like 3-4 houses or a small row of houses off to the side "not" accessible to everyone. Something like that. Everyone else of course in the districts, but idk...guess it was a dumb idea...
I kind of like the idea of the random houses in the city being an instanced house. It would give a bit more character to the cities that do have those houses everywhere that you see and no use other than the backdrop that they currently are.
