[Help] Seasonal item mishap

I highly doubt anything will be done about this, but I guess no foul in trying to get it resolved....

I did do the seasonal even "The Rising 2017"

I have wind-up Lyse, wind-up Gossetsu, and the "Stormblood" Orchestrion roll but magically somehow do not have:

"Answers-Reprise Orchestrion Roll"

This is quite the overlook either by me or by Square-Enix (both really....) Something that is this precious, and unique, and labeled "Untradable and Unique" should be a direct reward to the quest. Not placed on a merchant for sale. This is my opinion. This item is a song that played during the calamity event, which I personally took part in, and this song has special meaning to me. Its very unfortunate that it was placed on the merchant and not a direct reward for this quest.

Corrected original post. I did both 2016 and 2017 "The Rising" events.

I have 1 orchestrion roll and both minions but somehow ended up without the most important item?? This is a bit discouraging.

I already placed a ticket, and the GM directed me to the forums stating nothing could be done.

The Answers-Reprise orchestrion roll was sold by the Rising Vendor. It was not a quest reward, so there is no magic involved if you did not buy it.

The thread is a request for the development team to reconsider placing such unique items on a merchant and placing them as a reward from the quest itself. It is not a question as to why I don't have it,the word magic was used as a figure of speech.

But that is something that has been done with most events since the beginning, where you have one or two items directly quested to you as a reward for completing the event's quest line, and the rest are either bought with gil or quest tokens from the vendor, and that Orchestrion roll was no different. It's the player's responsibility to ensure they have everything and check every npc in the quest accordingly.

As for your idea, usually most event items do end up for sale on the Mogstation much later anyway (like, at least twelve months after, although some old event items still aren't available) so, just have patience I guess.
