Inventory issues still exist. Why keep adding gear to the game and not room? Glam log

219 liked post and yet no reply on this issue or a response in seriouslyaddressing inventory issues. How can SE keep adding items to the game and not give inventory space?

Remove retainers from inventory management, give us a bank, give us a glam log, give us options to store gear like mog station items, something.

Remove useless items, now that glam prisms are GC, they can be made into a currency or at least 1 type of glam prism for everything. (think how crafting dyes are handled)

WE REALLY need removing duplicate purpose of crafting materials, ALL BRANCHES, remove them, this is not "dumbing down" crafting, it is removing repetitive use items that does not need to be in a game with inventory problems. Durium Sand/ Palladium Sand? remove one, use the other to replace the use in synths, it comes from the SAME NODE and is a sand, no reason to have 2 different items for the same purpose and from the same source. You can easily make different nuggets and such from different combinations from raw mats. Same with Persimmon and Persimmon leaf, remove one. All the synths "Camphorwood Branch" uses, put in Camphorwood Log and REMOVE Camphorwood Branch from the game.

It really shouldn't be that hard to manage inventory issues better.

Lastly thank you for the expanded currency tab but it isn't enough, we still have TONS of currency that needs to be here, like delta drops, delta currency for weapon (takes 7 weeks for a weapon?) something like that should not be taking inventory space.

Using Wyrm Obsidian in modern housing synths was cute but ya remove it from the game and replace Wyrm Obsidian in synths with Raw Chrysolite or something, both materials are overall underused and both come from the same node. You can also unhide Hardsilver Ore or remove that and just fill Raw Chrysolite for everything, you really need to start trimming down the number of unique items for synthesis.

Finally where is the 999 update? Stuff like Mythrite Sand need it BADLY

Fish bait box? FC safe expands? where is the updates? I do not see how this game will manage 4.XX+ or even 5.0+ without addressing these issues.

They wont fix this, look at houseing, they could not fix that in 2.5 years why do you think they will implement glamour logs or capable grind 999 stack of an item? Its the same greedy mentality.

Fix incoming : more ventors... in cash shop.

This is what I'd do.

-Continue to add currencies into the currency tab
-Make materia into its own interface just like crystals/shards
-Let people glamour, dye and repair items with materials that are in your retainers
-Bait box for fishing, ingredient bag for culinarian, etc

Inventory and retainers do indeed overflow if one keeps everything and hoards it "just in case".
If one doesn't do that and instead just keeps the stuff you really need or expect to need within the next few days, then inventory issues practically disappear.

I remember reading some time ago that SE's answer when some people asked for more retainers was that most players do not have any more than the two retainers we all get for free, so they were not planning on letting us hire more retainers.
Or in other words: Most players do not have serious inventory problem.

Only a few, those who are much into both crafting and glamours (or just hoarders on general principles) have serious problems with inventory space.
Personally I do belong to this group and would love to have more space, but on the other hand I realise could probably throw away half of what I have stored and not really miss it so the problem might not lie with the game as such.
(I always tend to end up with full inventories in all other games as well....)

One of the best things that happened in World of Warcraft would make things insanely easier over here as well.

They introduced a Wardrobe that would keep track of gear you've acquired that has a unique look/recolor. You'd visit a vendor to do the transmog (you have to use a vendor and pay gold instead of prisms), select your item you want to set as the appearance and you're done.

Once you acquired a specific look, it would get saved to your Wardrobe and you could delete it with no risk of losing that look.

The item bloat is incredibly real like you mentioned. If they're not going to implement a separate material bank (like in GW2 - all materials go there with a large stack amount), they need to start condensing what we do have. Also, stop will all the random tokens and currencies if you're not going to put them in the currency tab.

Which ones are we talking here? The primal ones, and special FATE ones, don't, but everything else does, doesn't it?

didn't SE say they are working on it?
