Another "we need more wards for housing" post, but also a suggestion on how to do it.

Just doubling or tripling the amount of wards won't fix the issue unless the means by which plots are purchased is looked at.

If new wards are added, I suggest players who already own property on the server, FC or personal house, be prohibited from purchasing or relocating to new plots for at least a month after release. Players who already own property and want to try to get a different plot should be required to give up their land a week or so in advance. Call it a "land purchasing cooldown" or something.

This will give players who have never owned land a chance to find a property without having to log in and deal with the Hunger Games style madness the moment a patch goes live, and also give players who can't quite afford a house yet time enough to farm some gil.

I think this a far more reasonable and tangible means of addressing the housing problem than waiting another year to release instanced housing or something like it.
