Once again, English is not my native language, but it seems the form is correct? It means "from now on", which might seem ok for what she wants to say? In any case, this expression is used several times in the game.
That being said, in French, she says "if you need to leave, talk to him when you come back", so I do not know which is better.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying "In future". It's more natural than "In the future" for a lot of people. I have a lot of issues with the grammar in the translation but this particular sentence is perfect.
The issue you're having seems to be that in American English, it seems that "In the future" is preferred. They don't tend to stick to American English in this game's translation so applying it as a strict rule now would be pointless.
