[dev1000] Tutorials and Hint System

Here are some of my personal hopes for the tutorial system:

Hint system (can be toggled on or off). With the hint system turned on, when a user logs into the game and runs into something a hit will pop up. This can be done ether on screen, or added to a list that the player can review.

This would help new players greatly, as well as current players who wish to keep the system on as new systems or ideas are introduced into the game.

Ideally once a hit has been reviewed it wouldn't "pop up" on the screen again, but users could go into the tutorial menu and view the hints they have found.

Anyway, just a thought. :)

As far as a tutorial system goes. There was one part of the mentor system I believe they should bring back from FFXI. The question mark next to your name when you start. This helps define who the new players are. I know some of my friends and I would look out for people like this and help them understand the game better whenever we got the chance.

Though it has little to do with teaching players how to play I'd also like true starter equipment rather than simply weathered versions of equipment.
