Complaint about the 'Squadron Dungeons' - The Wanderer's Palace

The tank AI is utter trash. No matter how much you keep spamming Engage while targeting the end boss, the tank AI won't stop grabbing every enemy and its mother, dying rapidly because the healer AI can't keep up with the damage the tank takes.

No matter how much I spammed engage, the tank would just run to every damn add in the final boss, and either take too much damage to stay alive, with the healer being slow on the upkeep, or the adds would die too quickly, making the boss hit the tank for damage it could not hope to survive.

OR the tank would never get enough aggro on the end boss because it couldn't stop running everywhere, and the healer or DPS AIs would take the boss and die quickly.

I chose to go in as bard, so I could sit in the back row when I needed to and see how the AIs were doing. It was all fine until the end boss with the damn crazy amount of adds due to it running around like a headless chicken spamming Ultimatum.

Right now it honestly feels like unless I'm the one tanking there, I won't be able to rely on AIs that act like newbies that don't know what 'Ignore Adds' means.

I went as RDM , and encountered many of the same issues. At least they move out of AOE though!

My squad being mainly composed of miqo'te ladies, it will be hard getting angry at them..

hard to make this judgement now, this is why you're supposed to train them up to get different AI types and levels.

when they have every AI type and they are still this terrible, then we'll see.

this ia day 1, they performed about how i would expect taking them straight to the hardest dungeon available to them.

It was actually easy up until the final boss. No one died, the tank kept great aggro, and we managed to outrun all of the tonberry stalkers that stab you. It was only the end boss that there were any problems on. And from what I've seen there's no command to make the go for 'Boss Only' or the like, and just run after every single add that shows up from across the other side of the room.

Plus you can't entirely judge them on a proper scale by taking them to lower level dungeons where they don't have everything available to them.

Believe till you have them trained up they are going to be doing crazy things. Once trained it should be easier.

They are programmed to do mechanics properly and you are supposed to kill adds, not ignore them.

You could always "punish" them.

try to go as a healer, its hell on earth lol. Tank can't even keep aggro from the other AI dps

You are correct, however the problem I ran into is that you need to space out the killing of the adds so the king doesn't one shot the tank. The tank made this challenging as he was all over the adds and killed them too quickly several times.
