We have a total of 2880 houses per server between everyone. Instead of add to the flames I decided to do this. Though I doubt SE will even listen to any of it.
Some short-term solutions until housing can be properly addressed, If they give us enough house can be:
-Limit housing to 1 per account per server. Shared between all characters on that server/account. Also limit a player to only leading 1 FC per server as well.
-Pick a time of day for housing sales to go live and lock housing zones until that time. Can solve the server login issues for many and give more a chance.
- Add a countermeasure against resale. Perhaps a randomized timer(not displayed) maybe 1 hour - 3 days of a plot being relinquished before it goes up for sale. Risky for those who may try to buy from others.
-Adjust apartments. Allow for people to pay to increase the size of an apartment to match the size house interiors. This would be fine for me, but not everyone. (possibly allow FC purchases as well)

What about the players who already own more then 1 house? I remember reading that 1 server had two players who owned 4 wards, will they lose their homes or?

I didn't imply any were perfect... perhaps just make them unable to move or buy more until they only have one left, or have them select one by logging into the character they want to keep the house on and refund them the price of the house they purchased. There's no clear solution to it. It's why I left it as possible suggestions rather than demands. It's not easy to switch. I personally don't see a need for wanting a house on more than one character. I'd be happy having one to share between all of mine.Quote:

the thing is some people buy house to sell it back... This part of buy exists only if there is a really limited offer...
We get less than 3K plot, the lowest activ server got "only" 5426 activ character, add guilds... EVEN if people dont get multiple house, 2880 is NOT enough. And i speak with the lowest activ pop server.
In the opposite you can find for example where i am, ragnarok, 15k activ character, or balmung, 20k (and others between them)

Yes, FC can go thru a 1 house per account limit if it could exist (else... what about GM? he cant have his own house? ...)
Lets go a situation when they are not 12 but 24 ward. not 2880 but 5760 plot...
Even if some people could get 2, 5 10 houses... the matter in Zeromus (5426 activ character) would be really less... maybe inexistant (some people dont care getting a house)
There is many housing elsewhere. Not all are good, some get many limits. But, the matter to own a house is really FFXIV specific, and more, not a matter because "house to hard to get" no... just because we get a hard limit on the number avaible!
6k plot for zeromus, 22k for balmung, (20k players and... there are FC) and i am sure there would be really less cry... But...

Laerune: At this point they just need to find a way to help stop this from repeating itself and some of those possible solutions would help in their own little way. You can't just continue to release housing wards and expect everything to solve itself. As those 5000 houses for example would be split between individuals and FCs. It may help lower pop servers, but as we have seen they were just as swamped as the high population ones today... some restrictions just need to be made to help combat the issue. No one likes restrictions but they must be made for the good of others.
Aerlana that information is the very reason I pointed out why some restrictions needed to be put in place... they won't be perfect and won't solve it. However it may help in the long run. :)
