This problem happened to us too, we were all ready to get a large house and we were there on time and everything and get the error that we can't transfer the FC
we lost the house and now ll the houses are gone.

I had exactly the same issue. Trying to relocate Small Estate in Lavender Beds to Large plot Shirogane.

I could not complete FC Estate Relocation due to errors:

Error message 1: "Unable to execute. Housing action failed."
Error message 2: "Insufficient Gil"
Error message 3: "Another player is editing"

It predominantly showed error 1, but occasionally showed me errors 2 or 3. However, I was the only person at the plot.

After about 50 attempts, I was kicked off the server. However, my boyfriend managed to log in a few seconds after I got kicked off. He plays on his own PC in the same room as me and he is in the same FC as me with a rank with exactly the same privileges. He immediately saw all Large plots were taken so went for a Medium. It gave him the exact same errors, but for him it was mostly error message 3. After around 20 attempts another player came and bought the plot for themselves. They did not get an error; the plot was taken by them immediately as a personal estate. They were not relocating an estate.

As already mentioned -I managed to make it to a medium plot and I was the only one there, however I began receiving several error messages when trying to use the FC relocation option.
The first was something like "another player is editing" - even though I was the only player at the plot.
The second error was "insufficient gil" - even though I had over 70m gil on my character at the time.
The third error was a more general "error processing housing request" error.

I was persisting with this for about one minute when another player made it to the plot, and was able to purchase the plot immadiately as a personal plot of land. No estate was relocated there.

As you can imagine - I am quite livid because of this. The reason our FC don't have the plot is because Square Enix's relocation feature did not work properly. How is this fair at all?

What gives?

Is it possible that the "another player is editing" message was the result of someone doing stuff in your current house?
