Extra Character question

I think you have to deactivate the char slot from your SE account.

Everything (account and character slots) must be re-activated (if they already exist) OR activated (if you want to create one) for it to be charged now and have re-occurring charges from now on.

As long as you never hit "re-activate" button for a character that is already created which you DON'T want to play OR "activate" button for a character that you want to create, then it won't be charged, nor will any characters that are already created which you DON'T re-activate be playable.

Is there any way to get rid of the slots entirely? I ended up making the character that I'm playing as now in my second slot, but now my first and third ones are empty and are still there when I log in. I just want the one character without the other two slots to show up.
