Maw of Lorkhaj <MoL> is a small friendly FC looking for casual to mid-core players.
We're a small, friendly FC with lofty goals of making friends, enjoying content, and just generally hanging out. We're looking for friendly, semi-active members. Any job/level accepted, we're always willing to help out.
Q&A
Q: What rank is your FC, and do you keep buffs up?
A: We are a rank 8 FC and keeping buffs up is something we will consider once our FC grows a little. Right now we mostly pop actions when requested and do not mind when asked to do so.
Q: Do you participate in endgame content, help people level, or are you PvP focused?
A: Honestly, whatever. At the moment we are small. Most of our members became inactive and we fear that they will not be returning. We would love to get enough people to do ex trials, farm for tomes, or even pvp a little however, we are more focused on PvE than PvP.
Q: Do you have a house, and is it accessible to everyone?
A: Yes, currently a small house in the Mist. We are hoping to upgrade to a medium very soon. Every member can go to the house, the chocobo stable is also available to every member.
Q: Do you do guild events?
A: At the time we do not, we are so few in number that they seem rather pointless, however if we get enough people, we have a lot of ideas for events.
Q: Is there someone that can help us level?
A: Of course, Falk (co-leader) and I are always willing to help out. Falk can even help you level crafters if you need it.
Q: How many people do you have in your FC, and how active are you?
A: Well right now we have 10 characters in our FC, though only 2 of us are really active. However, we are on pretty much every night.
Q: So, what if someone in the FC is bringing the drama, however they are a very active member. Would you let them keep interrupting FC chat and being a pain in the ass to the FC or just specific members?
A: Absolutely not, I do not care how active or "good" someone is. We are trying to make a haven for people who are tired of the elitist and toxic environment that some of the community seems to think is okay.
Q: Does this mean you will let SCRUBS hold back your FC?
A: Not at all, I ask that everyone try to help each other, however I also acknowledge people have different play styles and skill levels. We will try to coach people, however we REFUSE to carry anyone. All we ask is that you listen to advice and attempt to follow it. (We even accept advice, we are not all knowing and we acknowledge this as well.)
Q: So if I cant play at end game levels, will I be left out of guild affairs?
A: No, however you may not get invited to some of the harder content if it's a farm. We will try to do learning parties and clear parties if requested. However as I said before we will not carry you. So please listen to advice and focus. We are not here to play the game for you, we want you to experience and play the game how it was intended.
Q: If I am new to the game, will you be willing to show me the ropes?
A: Of course! Falk and I are both mentors, and unlike some mentors, we did not get it just for the crowns. We like to help people. I would rather grow players to know how to play then try to explain to a veteran that, "No, Cure 3 is not a stronger cure then Cure 2." (In a level 70 dungeon)
Q: Why is your FC so small?
A: Our FC was up to around 20-30 members at some point; however people did what people do, they got bored and left one day without coming back, as is the joys of the MMO community. However, with your help and dedication, The Maw of Lorkhaj could be a nice retreat from the toxin.
Q: Do you want to be one of the big FCs on the server?
A: Nope, a lot of riff raff find their way into FC's like that. We would probably stop around 50 at the most. I don't know about you, but I would rather have a small group of well trained soldiers then a horde of gibbering loonies.
Q: What if I'm a crafter or gather main? Is there still a place for me?
A: Yes, you can find a place in our ranks. We won't demand anything from you or expect you to craft or gather anything for free.
Q: Is there any weekly or monthly fees? Will there ever be?
A: Honestly I have never seen a FC that does this. However, I wanted to touch on it anyway. Being part of our FC, you are already contributing to our family. We will never ask for your gil or items. IF you want to donate, we will take note of your eagerness to make our FC great. However, honestly all we will ever ask of you is that you respect your fellow members.
Q: RP or ERP?
A: We don't RP, but we wont stop you from doing so, however we ask that you keep any ERP to private channels.
Q: What about a static? Any possibility of one forming?
A: Well if the opportunity presents itself, sure. However, it's not our main focus.
Q: Do you have a FC discord or TS?
A: We have a discord, and some of us are PS4 users, so we can do PSN chat as well if need be.
