Hey guys!
I'm fairly new to FF XIV and I find myself really struggling with making Gil. I usually just sell stuff in my inventory and gear I get from dungeons I don't need. The roulette bonus are nice but not really all that great. Is there anyway to make a sufficient amount of Gil (such as 1 mil-5 mil) and sustain that without having to level a crafting class?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I've made lots of money gathering. If you can learn what sells and keep up with the market.
Raise your DoH, DoL, and retainers, DoH to craft items, DoL to collect items, Other retainers jobs to hunt for items. Also keep your retainers sales max as much as possible they can sell up to 20 items. Study the market and see what is hot and focus on that. An alternative would be using your tomes to purchase HQ items for crafting. Just study the market before hand.
As an alternate you can do map quest as well, you can find maps with DoL and get a group for treasure hunting.
Leve wise you can see what items are used and craft those as well just compare to market before hand.
If you don't want to craft, go gather. You can get maps that way. You can either sell them or do them with other people for profit. If you don't want to gather, go do the raids, trials and dungeons that drop rare minions or materials and sell them on the marketboard.
If you really hate gathering or crafting and want to make big bucks quickly in true capitalist fashion...
Buy treasure maps from MB. If you manage to get some rare furniture, you can sell them for millions easily.
I sold a maple tree for 2.6 mil last month. With Shirogane ward dropping, these things will go up like rockets.
The one catch? You may need a light party at least and that means rolling against at least 3 other people.
Materia always sells well and it is pretty easy to obtain these days via various means. Also run the three elite hunt marks for a 5K gill each. The other levels also pay a 1K but can be a grind if you don't need Centurio Seals. If you haven't leveled your retainers do so for gathering and sell the proceeds. They usually return with HQ items and the newer ones go for decent amount on my server's MB. None of these are millions in one go but they add up pretty quickly.
buy items from npc and sell it 5x price. i do taht everyday and do millions with taht^^

I know you don't want to worry about crafting, but if you want to put the items to more use that you get from dungeons, I'd suggest leveling one crafter class to 30 to learn desynth, then you don't have to level them again.

Prerequisites: main scenario quest Life, Materia and Everything
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Endgame-Guide - This will help with leveling them up rather quickly, plus you can always jump into unsync'd dungeons to get all the loot and desynth from there.
I don't ever bother to craft (Minus when I craft just to level up stuff to repair my own gear), and if I'm jumping in dungeons a lot during the week, I can make a couple million without trying that much.
