Live Letter 4.1 SMN Changes

So just curious what everyone thoughts are on this. Is it enough to fix the class for you ?

For me these are welcome changes but still leaves some major issues unresolved. Namely bahamut not casting while moving, and bane still not worth an aetherflow stack.

Lol stil needs work, make Bahamut do attacking Over moving, make it where we get more Mp from aetherflow, increase ruin 3 potency and lower the mp cost and restore bane, miss my old bane

If Ruin and Ruin 2 upgrade to Ruin 3/4 respectively in DWT, that leaves me curious on if Ruin 4 still used on proc or it's always usable but only for movement/oGCD weaving

If it's the latter, then by removing a mechanic, would they add/adjust something in it's place?

While some of these are good, the Ruin changes are baffling. Does this mean Ruin IV will have the same potency but as an instant cast in Dreadwyrm Trance? Why does Ruin still exist? Will Ruin III be unavailable outside Dreadwyrm Trance now?

They still haven't fixed Demi-Bahamut. His size was the least of its problems.

The wording makes it sound like Ruin 1 and 3 will share a button, so I'm assuming Ruin 3 will not br available outside DWT

Really curious on how this is gonna play out but mostly curious with how Ruin 4 procs are going to work now. What would be the point of the trait if we now have a seperare button for Ruin 4?

I will still, and always play summoner..but we need our bane back the way it was. I also feel we need DWT fixed so we can use aetherflow stacks again while under the effect.

I love that new devotion. Hopefully it is true.

I'll assume the proc trait is pretty much gone now. They're not very specific about it but I guess we'll have to wait until 4.1 to see for ourselves.

Meanwhile...the Ruin/Ruin III change seems like a DPS decrease if it's going to work that way.

My opinion is similar to the OP.

The changes are nice in terms of power and utility, but the lack of any change to Bahamut aside from appearance has me concerned as that's Summoners biggest (and should be strongest) mechanic. I'm still not a big fan of the lockout in DWT but that's me personally. I wish we had a passive similar to Scholar that would like reduce Aetherflow's cooldown like a few seconds when a pet crits or something. That to me would help the Summoner flow better with aetherflows as well as the lockouts.

As for Bane...it's this close to being taken off my hotbar. Gotta bloat up Bahamut after all.

My problems with Bahamut was not the atacking/moving animation, since for me it always has attacked before moving. The problem i had with him was using his enkindle seconds before he goes away (4 or 5) and he just not casting it. Not always, in fact that happened to me only a couple of times. In general the changes seems nice, i will await to try it in action before judging first.
