Is there a way to get weapons/armor/etc from the other two Grand Companies once you enlist in one as a private? I thought there wasn't, and you were stuck with your choice, but I'm seeing people that are in one Company wearing armor from another that they shouldn't have been able to. Can you like... quit one, and start over on another?
You can only get gear from other companies when you're a recruit and are still able to obtain and use seals from other companies. Once you rank up to Private Third Class, and officially enlist in a Company, you get locked out of the other company gear.
As a recruit, you don't get access to very many items. The armor only gets to level 25-30ish and the Weapons aren't powerful compared to the higher ranked weapons, and companies provide weapons for all classes at the higher ranks.
Like Estllios said, you can buy any item from any company before you officially "join" one, that is before you are promoted past the recruit status, I've worn a lominsan harness for a long time while being fully enrolled in the adders nest simply because i bought it before i joined.
But you can't quit one once you're enlisted in, and join another? Right?
