Well, guess I better catch up on the HW stuff then.
Well... good for his fans I guess?
I haven't even finished the first one.
eh unless they are going to make it more like 2.0 hildebrand with lots of cameo's and fun extra stuff i am not too excited, since i personally don't like him and do the story for everyone else. heavensward was very lack luster compared to 2.0
I fully expected Hildy to land in the Steppe and deal with a certain lovelorn Oronir, but oh well.
Namazu it is.
hurray for finally getting more MSQ!
I really hope hildy goes back to 2.0 quality, 3.0 was just bad, short and unninteresting the story doesn't hold a candle on how the cutscene were in 2.0 not the lenght, fun or dedication of the story. I still remember how much I wanted to know who the misterious black figure was the chemestry bewteen hildy and the other elezen inspector, gilgamesh its fights everything about 2.0 hildibrand was pure goodness and it was enjoyable. 3.0 had 2 cs at best 0 mystery no fights, no rewards, no cameos (I guess you can count vivi as one) hildibrand felt more serious and less funny and were so short they felt unsulting not even the outro were as dedicated.
I'm glad it's coming back but 3.0 small chuckle and done truly felt dissapointing. if it's the same they might just stop and move one with something else.
The main issue I had with 3.0 Hildy was just that it felt so much shorter, and there was so little to do aside from the story beats.
Seriously, why didn't we get to fight the old adventurers post Gigi's time magic in a sweet trial? Instead we got a single (admittedly funny), LB cutscene of them trying to beat down Hildy.
I preferred the Scholasticate mystery with Briardian by the end. It had tension and better character writing with all that tasty Ishgard lore.
Hildibrand's 2.0 series is still one of the best parts of this game.
