In-Game Delivery Service / Delivery & Mail Systems in Patch 1.20b?

I was looking over the Roadmap to version 2.0 (on page 2) and was curious when the title of this thread would be implemented. The roadmap I'm referring to is here: http://wdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/dow...Roadmap_EN.pdf

Not that this is a BIG deal to me, because I would much rather see much more content, but I was just curious if I missed anything. Thanks!

It's possible, but I'd say it more leans towards 1.21, since patches a,b,c are generally broken off of the main patch and generally hotfixes from said patch -- Not necessarily additional content unless it was stated to be in 1.20 but they were going over deadline so they had to release it in a sub patch.

I wouldn't take it too literally, it says Airships, Chocobos and Ferries are Jan-May 2012 and we have those in game already. (Unless it means the completion of those systems, ie, airship journey and chocobo armour)

On the other hand battle system was supposed to be finished by the end of Dec (which I assume includes the job system) so they are behind on that score.

You're right. These things should've been in-game by now according to the roadmap.

Any word on this devs?

I think the roadmap was more when those items were being developed/planned and not necessarily when they are released. IE: They probably are finished/nearly finished with coding it but still need to implement, test, refine, etc. We'd have our new graphics engine by now if this stuff was released according to the roadmap =P

They're not going to switch us to a new engine before 2.0, if it wasn't going to be for 2.0's release they'd switch us over in 1.21.

This has nothing to do with our current game. This is their roadmap for their development of 2.0 only, not what they're implementing with 1.X.

Yea I was just trying to prove my point about how we weren't necessarily getting stuff immediately as it's finished. I'm guessing mail stuff might be a nightmare to implement with how servers are now at any rate.

And it doesn't say which client is getting those things ^^
