Retainer Questions?
Okay so this is my first post here, and i honestly feel kind of dumb asking this question. I sub to the game via timecards, and while I have done this the entirety of my time in ffxiv, I've recently hired on an additional retainer with the release of stormblood. Now, I know i have 69 days left of my sub and retainer service, but I typically add a new sub every 60 days, how exactly will I pay for my new retainer/have it charged to my credit card? I want to keep this thirst one, as the extra retainer space has helped me a lot with storing glam, materials, and leveling gear. I hope i can get some insight into this soon >.<

I'm not certain as it has been a bit since I used card, but I believe it'll just take a few days off the total and use it as payment... Or just charge the attached card the retainer fee. One or the other.

Welcome to the forums! I haven't tried time card game sub + credit card retainer before, but I believe they will follow the usual formula of pro-rated remaining active sub * monthly cost. Since you're paying your game sub via time card, my guess is that your retainer most probably wouldn't be on a recurring payment and will simply be "freeze" once it timed out until the next manual payment. Just don't freak out when you can't summon your retainer in-game when it's payment run out, all data will still remain, you simply can't access it until you make the next payment.

Yeah, I typically have 80-90 days on sub at a time, with 30~ of those days being emergency days if I cant get a card right away. I was just thinking about it because it never asked for my cc info when I got the third retainer. Thanks for the info though :D

If you have a credit card attached, it will charge the time for your extra retainers to that. I use 60 day cards and have 8 retainers, so it charges me for the retainer time until the time card expires up front when I apply the time card. Not sure what it does when you don't have a credit card attached.
