Are you talking about the purple barrier that erects 15 seconds after you initiate the fight? It's normal and has been in every dungeon.

In red letters, "it says I can't re-enter ongoing battles." After death, I can't even return to my starting point because of this untimely error that occurred while I was at Amdapor Keep, Snowcloak, etc.

You have to hold the button down to return to your home point.
