Armor Identification Key & Tales of Adventure: A Realm Reborn and Heavensward

In addition to the below, I could use some help with getting this item off my account.. It's using up an inventory spot and I now have no way of destroying the key.. :(

Steps: These may be out of order.. I'm not sure if this will reproduce or not.
1. Complete the MSQ 'The Ultimate Weapon' and obtain the Armor Identification Key but do not use it.
2. Purchase the Tales of Adventure: Heavensward
3. When you next log in after using the Tales, you automatically learn the mount that would be obtained by the Key above.. However, the key remains in your inventory. Because of the item type, it cannot be destroyed, tossed, or sold to a vendor.. You also cannot use it because you already have the mount. This leaves you with an entirely useless (to my knowledge) item that will forever take up an item slot until the end of time. :(
