AOE
Lvl 20 THM right now, not understanding aoe and can't find anything on it.
Fire is the only aoe spell we have now? I see the toggle for aoe is gone and it is in the description of the spell.
I don't see "..and nearby allies" on protect. Is that not aoe at all? Or, at higher versions of the spell maybe?
One last question, since SE removed some of our elemental attacks, did they already remove elemental affinity from mobs? I saw that this was coming, but didn't see when.
Thanks!

Saw your shout earlier today.
Question1: The whole fire chain + blizzara are our AoE. Stonera and Aerora (not combo'd) are for conj
Question2: Cast protect with people in pt to find out >.> (yes it is AoE)
Questions3: Elemental weakness on some monsters have changed. Try casting thunder on kobold and enjoy the explosion >.>;

OK thanks for the clarification. Guess I need to wait for spell upgrades for more aoe's.
So if a mob is weak with wind, we pretty much just have to hit them with what we got? Sounds bad for endgame if it stays that way.

It kind of does suck... because I feel the thm got the short end of the stick compared to cnj. I feel like more monsters are weak to earth/wind than they are to thm elements. It also seems as if the cleric stance and appropriate gear will make cnj out dps thm in a long fight.
What I try to do is this:
Dark Seal + Stone (try and land that magic evasion down!!!)
Hit the mob with thunder >> thundara combo
Forget Thundaga the dps / mp ratio isn't worth while. Your better off trying to cast stone again or blizzard (which does very well on ixali!)
So depending on your gear, try and get some magic acc w/o sacrificing too much int/potency.
Right now I am tempted to pick up the Limsa Bliaud for +10 magic accuracy body. So I can avoid using magic acc rings. because +7 atk mgc neck, +14 int on rings is around 10.5 atk magic.
