quick question to my puggers out there

So I pugged v1s and v2s in pf I reallly dont wana just give up and stop midway. So just wondering on the other two whats the approach to take tryin to pug the harder two raids in this tier. Do you approach these the same as the other two , or go about them a different way. Im a bit nervous cause just from the video 3s looks way more difficult than the others just because of all the mechanics you have to remember. Any tips would be helpful for someone whos pugged this content.

As far as difficulty goes there is a spike. I'm more inclined to think of 1-2 as midcore content, and 3-4 where the hardcore content begins. (This 'spike' in difficulty should be eased with 4.1 when Shinryu is released and placed between 2-3)

I'd suggest you download discord. A lot of groups will require it for 3-4, and for good reason. You won't need to talk, just listen.

I can speak for trying to pug v3s. Trying 10 hours a day for the last 4 days, rip. You'll usually make it to the library phase relatively consistently,but that's pretty much where it breaks down.

Good luck, even joining the "know past ninjas/IG phase" is usually a wipe fest at library.

ten hours a day huh , haha when I see the pf people seem so confident, got me thinking its actually puggable but from the video ive seen it really doesnt look pug friendly at all haha

Don't get me wrong, almost every failed mechanic in there is able to be recovered from pre animal farm phase. Heck, you could even healer lb3 right after the library phase if a pld covers the only healer left alive and pops HG. I've done it, but they never hit the lb button, lol.

It can be pug friendly if the group can stay together for a couple of lockouts to feel each other out. And discord is encouraged, but it doesn't always help.

I run in a static but dip into pf groups between raid nights for some extra 4S practice.

The thing I've noticed most personally in the two later fights is the lack of responsibility and that's what holds some pugs back. The fights aren't the issue imo, it's getting a solid 8 who can learn from their mistakes and acknowledge them. The majority seem impatient and everyone is at fault except them.

Yesterday I had a caster flat out blame me for his death because and I quote "he didn't see me" so it was my fault he stacked an aoe on me, a melee, in melee range of the boss.... <_<

Best of luck, the fights do jump a little in difficulty but ultimately it's just about praying for a positive and constructive group.

I cleared 3s pugging 2 of 8 people. While you're learning it's fine, the problem is once you have the fight down and you need everyone to just not die so you can meet enrage. But it is possible!

I've been clearing up to v3s for a few weeks only through pugs and it's definitely possible, the closer to reset day you try to clear the better chances you'll have, i've noticed. As for v4s, ive been at neo enrage through pugs so a clear isn't impossible there either. The trouble is finding a group that can do the damage and the mechanics.
