Can't use Aetheryte Pendulum

I've searched the forums and google for the answer, and I couldn't find anything.

When I try to use the Aetheryte Pendulum, it's giving me a "Cannot execute at this time" error. What am I doing wrong?

Have you unlocked the Teleport action by finding and attuning to two aetherytes? (Full size, not shards)

Once you can teleport, you should be able to use the Pendulum, which will consume it. From then on, teleporting to an aetheryte near a new adventurer friend will be free, but it'll still be accessed through the menu, not the pendulum.

Yeah, I've unlocked Teleport, but I still can't use it.

After I teleported, which I've done plenty of times, I was able to use it. I think it might be that you have to use it next to an Aetheryte.

You can use it from anywhere, just select the new person that is on your friends list and you'll teleport to their nearest aetheryte, if you have it unlocked yourself :D

Does this not work when you are classified as a Returning Member?
I could not find my Pendulum anywhere on my character, I assume I've used it already

It works for anyone who has used it, no matter their status.
The item itself is gone, you activate it by selecting a new player on your friend list. They have to be on your friend list and they have to have the New Adventurer sprout. Your sproyt/flower isn't taken into consideration.
