I... haven't really noticed skill gap closed. DPS still don't AOE in dungeons. World first raiders still clear last tier fight Week 1 (or, in this case, Day 1) while regular statics and pugs still struggle with it months later. PvP leaderboards still have the same people on Top from previous seasons.
To close the skill gap you need to give players just 1 button, and I bet some still will perform better than others.
All Ive noticed is how gutted every class/job is until level 70. Other than that most of the changes don't seem different other than not allowing us more role actions every 10 levels!!!!
No, and with some classes (bard is the most obvious imo) the difference of good vs bad players became even more pronounced.
Nope. People still perform horribly in DF.
I find people who play brd worse now.
Most BLM still spam AoE and/or Ice so I guess not
I feel like I've had less 30-40 minute runs, but I would say that SB has helped the great players stand out even more. If anything, I think it's easier to notice different levels of skill. Things like the need for Diversion make it feel more like everyone is responsible for the quality of the run.
Well...the jobs weren't really the exact problem. Some people seek out ways to improve, some don't. There are also some who think they're doing well but in reality they aren't.
I've heard from friends that SMN is quite a bit harder to play well than it was before. Personally I've not messed with SMN much at all so I cannot confirm or deny.
