Suggestion to improve impact of Gosetsu

I recently finished Doma Castle and the scene with Gosetsu didn't leave a big impact on me.

Had there been a character theme kick in I think it would have improved the scene.

That got me thinking what earlier character would fit Gosetsu.
I came up with an answer: Garuf from FF V.

Both are old battle hardened warriors.
They play a similar part in their respective games.
Garuf's theme is awesome.

Imagine how the scene had been if Gosetsu had Garuf's theme - like Hien has Cyan's.

Hien has Cyan's theme because Hien's father's name is King Kaien. Cyan's official name in the JP version of FF6 is Cayenne and Hien's father in FFXIV is Kaien, so do the math. Galuf is in the game and he's Krile father, but he's presumably dead/missing I believe. Anyway, Gosetsu isn't Galuf of FFXIV. The them isn't supposed to be that tragic, especially if you watch the epilogue.

I think not standing there for five minutes holding a conversation while the guy's "supposedly" barely holding a structure up and bleeding out would've worked better, but hey, that's just me.

Yes, they DEFINITELY dragged that sequence out WAY too long. This was a prime example of what Tvtropes calls Narm right there - drama and tragedy so overblown that it become unintentionally hilarious.

I wonder if they were going for that considering the character...
